We take Health & Hygiene very seriously!
It’s important to note that there are no guarantees regarding the length of time the Lash Lift will last. Anyone making such guarantees is misleading you – and we don’t want to do that.
Hot showers, swimming, poor quality mascara, makeup removers, heavy sweating, saunas and so on can all affect the longevity.
In general, you should expect at least 4 weeks before they start dropping. Most clients will get anywhere from 6-8 weeks. This is not a guarantee – merely a rough guide.
Anyone one of above mentioned activities can reduce the longevity. When combined, it’s exacerbated.
If they have dropped within 1-2 weeks, please contact us so we discuss your options.
It’s important that you are not wearing makeup when you arrive for your appointment – especially around the eye area.
If you have no choice except to arrive with makeup, please ensure you select the ‘Add-On: Remove Makeup’ when making your appointment online. If you don’t select this Add-On and you arrive with makeup, the removal process will take time away from the actual Lash Lift and the results may not be ideal.
Avoid wetting, heating, steaming or makeup on lashes for 24 hours post treatment.
Wash your face carefully around the eyes without wetting, and avoid swimming or hot steamy showers.
When performed by a well-trained and experienced therapist, a Lash Lift is considered safe by both doctors and dermatologists.
Although every precaution is taken to ensure your safety and well-being, there are risks such as irritation or damage to the orbital eye area, including the eye itself. In some very rare situations the reaction can be severe.
Lash Lifting is a chemical process and even with the proper technique, it may cause damage, breakage, frizzing or splitting of the eyelashes.
A test patch is generally not required however, for those individuals with sensitive skin (or as an added precaution) we offer a paid $25 test patch service for any client on request. Please request a test patch at least 48 hours prior to your Lash Lift appointment.
At this stage, we don’t currently offer eyelash extensions.
If you require eyelash extensions, please contact us and we would be more than happy to recommend someone who does.
